Larry Layne is one of three honorees to be feted at this year's Hall of Fame Banquet on Club Day.

Santa Monica has a long and storied history since the Club's founding in 1972. Numerous Eagles and rep side players have dotted the Club's roster over the years.

Since 2003, the Club has followed its annual Club Day and Old Boys' Game with a Hall of Fame banquet, honoring notables from all decades. This year's inductees include Russ Goodman, Larry Layne and Gary Puterman.

Since joining the Super League, Club Day also features a headliner match-up against an interconference side. Last year, Santa Monica put on a clinic against visiting Washington Rugby Club.

Featured this Saturday, April 12, is an interconference Super League hit-up against the Dallas Harlequins, plus a top-of-the-table SoCal U19 showdown between the L.A. Cougars and the upstart Santa Monica youth side, now 7-1. Other youth rugby matches -- beginning at 9:30 a.m. -- highlight the team's growth, unequaled by just about any other rugby club in the United States.

Club Day is always the biggest outing of the season, with the entire extended Santa Monica family turning out for a complete day of rugby heaven.

SoCal U16 Girls: Santa Monica vs. Back Bay, 10:30 a.m.

SoCal U14 Boys: Santa Monica vs. Manhattan Beach, 9:30 a.m.

FIELD #2

Women's Match: Santa Monica vs. UCLA, 11:30 a.m.

SoCal U12 Boys: Santa Monica vs. Long Beach, 9:30 a.m.

FIELD #3

Various U8 & U10 matches throughout the morning

All games at our new playing fields, Daniel Webster Middle School in West L.A.
