Santa Monica Rugby Club to host Open Day this Saturday, Dec 1st

Join us Saturday, Dec 1st at Webster Middle School, for a feast of rugby and a preview of what’s in store for the 2013 season at Santa Monica Rugby Club.

There will be rugby for all ages as the Youth section host a demonstration and registration day for children ages 6 – 18yrs. Newcomers are welcome and no previous rugby experience is necessary. There will be experienced coaches and players in attendance to help teach you the game.

Following the morning’s activities, the senior men’s teams step up for their first pre-season game of the 2013 campaign. Men’s I & II’s sides tackle Kern County Rugby Club I & II teams respectively – 1^st men’s game kicks off at 1pm. Information and times for players wishing to play will be released at this evening’s (Thurs) practice.

Director of Rugby, Doug Bratcher said “Saturday’s youth clinic and the games vs. Kern County will give us a great opportunity to see the club in full force. The club continues to grow from strength to strength and we look forward to welcoming rugby fans new and old”
