Agony again for Dolphins

Santa Monica had time to regroup on their bye week but in the end it was the same result as Tai Enosa scored a last minute try to give SFGG a 38 – 32 win over the Dolphins. Santa Monica were the first to score when Sean Pypers crossed the line. It was a typical Santa Monica expansive rugby-type try. SFGG returned the score a few minutes later but Santa Monica were too strong in the first half. Dave Martini scored his eighth try of the season to put Santa Monica back on top. Each team would exchange more tries with Santa Monica running in a total of five first half tries to SFGG’s three. However, the conversions were the difference and Santa Monica only went into the half up six after missing several of their attempts.

The match remained close in the second half with SFGG picking up another try. The conversion missed and with thirty minutes to play it was a one point game. Pypers then scored his third try of the day to put the Dolphins back on top. But after that it was all SFGG as they consistently put Santa Monica under pressure. That paid off as they scored a few more tries, including Tai Enosa’s to win the game.
